The only thing I would change is to replace the word "he" for "a soldier" because there are many female soldiers proudly serving in today's military. This is not about being politically correct. Just to put things into perspective, when my husband's battalion deployed to Iraq one of the first soldiers to be wounded was a female soldier. Toward the end of the deployment we unfortunately lost one soldier to an IED. It was a female soldier. I love this post.
