Heh!

KIEV (Reuters) – A man shouting that God would keep him safe was mauled to death by a lioness in Kiev zoo after he crept into the animal’s enclosure, a zoo official said on Monday.
“The man shouted ‘God will save me, if he exists’, lowered himself by a rope into the enclosure, took his shoes off and went up to the lions,” the official said.
“A lioness went straight for him, knocked him down and severed his carotid artery.”
The incident, Sunday evening when the zoo was packed with visitors, was the first of its kind at the attraction. Lions and tigers are kept in an “animal island” protected by thick concrete blocks.
Sure, you can say he was mentally ill, and that he was using the wrong theological approach. But you gotta love this story.

While God may test “us”, to help us develop and strengthen our spirit. I don’t think he is humored by “us” testing him!

If there is a god in this case, it’s a “she” and she ripped out the guy’s carotid artery.

I have to say I chuckled when I read this one. Bad Greta!

I cant imagine why you would say we have to love the story. Some of us might laugh at the man’s stupid act, but love the story, absolutely no.

Don, let’s have an argument about it! I LOVE the story, and you gotta grant me that’s what “You gotta love…” means.

I don’t know. I’m with Don. I think it’s really a sad story. Mental disease is a horrible thing. This guy probably had a family that loved him and is now devastated. I guess we can take comfort in the fact that he didn’t suffer for a long time. It sounds like the lioness did him in pretty quick.

Of course it’s sad when people kill themselves, but it’s delightful to me that he did it in such an ironic way. Delightful! Still no word on him being mentally ill, but you gotta figure that his actions were his diagnosis.

I have engaged with you on things that make sense, but this story is just a sad story, like Meg said. If you really love the story, it says something about you. I am not sure what, but it is not something nice.

If that’s your sincere response, it says something about you. I am not sure what, but it is not something nice.
