Another Cool Hybrid

Date May 5, 2007

I already mentioned the Tesla, and here’s the Chevrolet Volt. An electric/gas hybrid 4-door sedan concept car. Finally, car manufacturers are getting it right. Sometimes style is just as important as substance. I wouldn’t mind owning one of these. Although the 40 miles on a single charge could be better. But you do get over 600 miles on the 12-gallon fuel tank. Not bad. I was watching a video about this on On Demand video service and, unless I’m mistaken, I think they said that the revolutionary thing about the Volt was that the gas powered engine will actually charge the battery. I need to watch it again to see if I heard that right or not. No price because it’s still only a concept, but it looks like it might go into production.

Why Did The Electric Car Failed? Well, just look at these things.
Car 1
Car 2
Car 3
Car 4

If they’d made them look like regular cars from the beginning, although the Prius comes close, and less like toys I guarantee you there would be more on the road.
