Whooz ya candidate?

Date July 30, 2007

I may throw this out weekly – just for yucks. I’m still leaning for Fred – even though he hasn’t announced it yet. Chris is behind Guiliani all the way. Silke….jury is still out. The rest of the Hooah peanut gallery seems to be on summer sabbatical. OK dems – whooz ya candidate?

It’s still very early but I do like Barack Obama. And even though he has not announced his candidacy (and may never announce it) I also like Newt Gingrich. I know those two are almost polar opposites but for me it’s not about the party it’s about what the candidate is saying. Every time I hear Newt Gingrich speak I think he makes a lot of sense. I also think he has toned down his partisan rhetoric since his days as Speaker of the House.

If it weren’t for that whole anti-abortion thing, I’d be leaning towards McCain. That being said, I’m sort of torn between Rudy and Hillary.

I could never support McCain because of immigration “reform” and I am not wild about McCain Feingold. I could support Fred, Rudy, or Mitt.

What is the problem with anti-abortion? If Roe v Wade was overturned tomorrow, there would be almost as many abortions the next day, because all that would happen is that it would then be uo to the states.

I’m still a Rudy man, but Huckabee and Newt, if he decides to run, look pretty good as well. Both back the War On Terror 100% and want to get tough on immigration. If Newt throws his hat in, I may have to go for a Newt/Guiliani ticket.
