Does It Get Any Better Than This?

No Burritos
Please, please, please. Someone tell me this isn’t a real picture. I know it’s on Yahoo! News, but does anyone know if it’s fake or if this guy is some kind of plant or something. I love this picture. I don’t know about you, but I’ve changed my mind about illegals in this country. I wish you could hear my laughter.

    No Burritos!

I just found this over at Hooah Wife and Friends.
    I’m still laughing.
No, Indian Chris, it doesn’t get any better than this! lolol
[running to the grocery store to get makings for burritos, just in case.]

I agree it is funny, but so were some of the other stupid signs they were carrying; others were extremelly off the wall. Wanting to take several of our states over and return them to mexico, so they could have as corrupt a government as Mexico has. Others want Mexico to become a 51st state; that is the only way to get a decent government there

BH and Al may agree with it, but if you want to see another stupid sign, but see this one.

    Don, it’s not loading

Don — “Forbidden You don’t have permission to access /archives/images/deportdenver.jpg on this server.”

Yeah, that’s a pretty stupid sign all right. Almost as dumb as the dreaded 404. But I don’t really see why BH and I shouldn’t agree with it… we probably don’t have permission…

    :-)

Why’s “burrito” called what it is? Anybody know?

Are these the signs you were talking about?

My son’s favorite thing is burritos. He told me he would beat the guy with the sign up!

It is from Michelle Malkin’s site. It says “Deport 12 million Republicans.” She must have her site set not to allow the graphic to be shown from another site. Go to her post and it is the first graphic.

I like the sign. I hope people don’t forget some of the beautiful Mexican culture that the immigrants have brought us (not to mention the food!).

Back to more important matters: Why’s a burrito called a burrito? Doesn’t it mean little donkey? What’s the connection?

  13. Meg said:

It does mean little donkey, but that’s all I know.

  14. Al Kasprzyk said:

Little donkey as in religious connotations?

  15. Indian Chris said:

Maybe they were originally made from donkey meat?

  16. Al Kasprzyk said:

Horse meat I could believe, but not donkey meat. Donkeys have a lot of diseases, including a rather unpleasant lung worm. Also, aren’t horses traditionally quite a high-status animal in the Americas?

  17. Meg said:

Religious? I’m not sure what you mean. It’s the diminutive form of the word.

Maybe they are called donkeys because the are all bungled up like donkeys are when you use them to move things?

  18. Al Kasprzyk said:

Religious connection in the sense of the the Manger, Easter, etc. Donkeys are pretty important animals in the life of Christ. But nah, just a guess…

I reckon you’re right about being all bundled up! The second I read your comment, the image hit me. Really good! Surely that’s the reason?
